Hundreds of wonderful musical guests have joined us on WHO’S the ROSS? over the past nine years, but in the last couple months we’ve been lucky enough to have some of the NW’s most elite performers on the program, backed by our brilliant house-band!
From dancing with soul legend Ural Thomas, to singing a tribute for Mom with Leo London of The Domestics, to waxing poetic about poetry on wax with PDX’s Kings of Hip-Hop Rasheed Jamal & Mic Capes, the interviews with these musical guests were an absolute joy…while their performances were one-of-a-kind!
Now you get to enjoy all these musical guest & their candid moments in one place! Ch-Ch-Check it out!
“Mom, did you ever think you’d follow in your son’s footsteps?”
From actress, to mother, to teacher, to stand-up comedian. That’s the life of Mama Ross, who took center stage Tue night at Dante’s to perform for a delighted audience, who was shocked by how funny this cute lil British redhead mum could be!
In the Ross Family, our performance is a reflection of who we are, so after Mama knocked out the crowd with her perspective on aging gracefully (and opportunistically) we honored her with a truly Portland celebration featuring “Beards & Roses” from the Portland Beardsmen, a lovely cake from Tualatin Mayor Lou Ogden, and a performance by Leo London of The Domestics. All this, plus we got to chat with the Rose Festival’s Star Light Parade Grand Marshal ELVIS, who serenaded the room like only this PDX legend can!
Now that you know the story, enjoy this hilarious & heartwarming new edition WHO’S the ROSS?
